This doc has instructions on how to enable microphone for Chrome.
There are 2 scenarios that are covered:
Opening adaface.com for the first time in the scenario that you have never denied/ allowed access before
Opening adaface.com for second time after you have denied access before
Chrome
Never denied/ allowed microphone access before:
1. You would be presented with a popup similar to screenshot like this: Click on 'Allow'.
If you haven't allowed permission to Chrome browser, you would be presented with a popup to grant permissions to the browser first like this: Click on 'Allow'
2. In case you are given three options like the following, you can click on either "Allow this time" or "Allow on every visit"
In case you clicked on "Allow this time" and the "Proceed" button is not active, try closing all the windows and opening the chat again. This time, pick "Allow on every visit". Depending on the device and your drivers, you might have to reload after changing the permissions.
3. Confirm that your microphone is working.
In the microphone instructions popup, if you see that the 'Proceed' button is active, you can click on it to dismiss the popup and proceed to the chat.
If you have multiple microphone options, you can pick the one that best works for you.
To test the microphone quality, click on 'Speak' and record some audio. Click on 'Stop' and then 'Play' to listen to the recorded audio.
Denied access before:
If you have denied access once, then even on reload, Chrome won't show the permissions popup again. In this scenario, you can either:
1. Click on the microphone icon and change the permissions to 'Always allow...'. You need to reload after you change this setting.
2. Click on the settings/ lock icon beside the URL and enable the Microphone permission. You need to reload the page after granting the access.
3. go to chrome://settings/content/microphone. Click on "app.adafce.com" > Permissions > Microphone, change permission to "Allow" and reload the chat page.
